Benign prostatic hyperplasia: A brief overview of pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapy - Abstract

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common condition, causing symptoms in 75% of men over the age of 70.

To understand the role of a novel treatment for this condition, an understanding of the pathology, approach to diagnosis, and range of existing therapies are important. This article provides a general overview of benign prostatic hyperplasia evaluation and management.
