Assessment of Intermittent Self-Catheterization Procedures in Patients with Neurogenic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction: Dutch Translation and Validation of the Intermittent Catheterization Satisfaction Questionnaire – Beyond the Abstract

This paper is a report of the procedure of translations of 4 self-administered questionnaires for patients with neurogenic bladder performing intermittent self-catheterization. We feel that this report may be of interest to those who want to translate existing questionnaires in another language. The 4 questionnaires produced in Dutch, may help Dutch-speaking colleagues facing patients with issues when performing intermittent self-catheterization.

Recently, the Qualiveen (the only validated questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life of patients with neurogenic bladder, in English and French) has been translated and validated in Dutch (SF-Qualiveen) by Reuvers et al. By doing so, we complete the questionnaire armamentarium available in Dutch in the field of neurourology.
