Management of patients with metastatic prostate cancer - Abstract

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and is recognised as a significant health problem.

Treatment of advanced or metastatic prostate cancer is challenging, and support and care should be tailored to meet the individual's needs. This article focuses on the pharmacological management of metastatic prostate cancer and the nurse's role in providing patients with information about the disease. It is hoped that this article will be used as a resource to improve patient care.
