Prostate cancer has the highest incidence among African American men in the U.S. These men are 2.4 times more likely to die from the disease than Caucasian men.

Wilson is quoted as saying, “When I first learned I had prostate cancer, I thought my career was over. I thought it was a wrap for me, My wife stood tall and told me we were going to get through it. You just have to have a positive heart and go on. That’s what we did, and now I want others to know about the resources that are available to them.”

Thomas Kirk, CEO and President of the Us Too organization commented, "Until the disease is metastatic, you don't necessarily know you have it." As one of the oldest prostate cancer awareness organizations (now 21 years old), UsToo is more than a resource center. "We facilitate programs around the world so men can assemble their team to learn, empower, and be in charge of this disease."
