Early detection of prostate cancer: AUA Guideline

LINTHICUM, MD USA (UroToday.com) - May 3, 2013 - The American Urological Association (AUA) released its new guideline for screening/detection of prostate cancer today. The most significant change from the 2009 version is that they have increased, to age 55 and up, the recommended age at which screening should commence.

This guideline is also based on a review of literature compared to what they presented at 2009, which was based more on clinical consensus.
