H. Ballentine Carter, MD, Professor of Urology, Oncology at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Director, Division of Adult Urology the Brady Urological Institute in Baltimore, MD, is an internationally recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate disease. He is the former editor of the Prostate Bulletin and the current editor of the Prostate White Papers that provide patients with up to date information about diseases that affect the prostate gland. He was recently nominated to be a Trustee of the American Board of Urology by the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons. His term extends from February 2012-February 2018. Dr. Carter's election as a Trustee to the American Board of Urology is a recognition of his exemplary patient care and innovative research in the field of prostate cancer.
In his surgical practice, Dr. Carter has performed more that 2 800 radical prostatectomies to treat men with prostate cancer.
