Magnetic resonance imaging in management of prostate cancer - Abstract

The development of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers new possibilities in management of prostate cancer due to its high-resolution and soft-tissue contrast.

By combining high-resolution anatomical imaging with functional imaging techniques multiparametric MRI is now proven to be the most sensitive and specific imaging tool for detection, localization and staging of prostate cancer.
