Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index as a Prognostic Marker of First-Line Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Combination Therapy in Patients with Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Retrospective Multi-Center Study - Beyond the Abstract

Geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) is a simple nutritional index that has been associated with outcomes in various diseases. As discussed in this paper, the prognostic value of GNRI in predicting outcomes in the initial drug therapy for metastatic renal cancer is found to be unsatisfactory. We anticipate that future studies utilizing GNRI will broaden our understanding.

Another intriguing research avenue lies in investigating whether enhanced nutritional status prior to or during treatment correlates with an extended life expectancy.
