The Current Application and Future Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Renal Cancer - Beyond the Abstract

In this narrative review, we explore and analyze the diverse applications and major advancements of artificial intelligence (AI) in kidney cancer. We provide an overview that delineates the current status and sheds light on the prospects of AI-powered innovations in reshaping the landscape of kidney cancer management.

We highlight 72 key articles employing AI in renal malignancy and offer insight on gaps in the literature in AI utilization. By far the most common application of AI technology is for analysis of imaging and there remains great potential in incorporating AI for prognostic applications and surgical outcome predictions.
