Solitary laryngeal metastasis from clear cell carcinoma of the kidney: Clinical case and review of the literature - Abstract

Metastasis from renal cell carcinoma may reach head and neck region in 14-16% of cases.

In this region, the most involved areas are thyroid gland, nose, paransal sinuses and parotid gland. Secondary localization to the larynx is a very rare occurrence. We report a case of solitary laryngeal metastasis from clear cell carcinoma of the kidney, occurring several months after removal of the primary tumour.
