Ureteral double-J stent length is an important factor affecting stent-related symptoms. Multiple techniques exist to determine ideal stent length for a given patient, however, little is known about what techniques urologists rely on.

Objectives: To develop and validate a scoring system to assess the need for emergency intervention (EI) in patients with uncomplicated acute renal colic (ARC) due to ureteric stones. Patients and methods: From May 2017 to April 2019, 382 adult patients presented to emergency department with ARC due to ureteral stones diagnosed by non-contrast computed tomography.
