Improving Outcomes in Bladder Cancer - Arnulf Stenzl
June 23, 2019
Arnulf Stenzl is the co-facilitator of the case-based specialty session. Here he discusses improving outcomes in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with the en bloc resection for cancers that are smaller than one centimeter which is consistent with the EAU guidelines. Dr. Stenzl has been performing en bloc resections for tumors up to 3 centimeters which provides more information on staging. He also discusses the role of trimodal therapy as an alternative to cystectomy and the role of endoluminal partial cystectomy for muscle-invasive tumors.
