Salvage Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (sRARP) has been described as a feasible treatment for the management of localised prostate cancer (PCa) recurrence after primary treatment. However, no large reports have published cancer and quality outcomes. To report perioperative, functional, and oncologic outcomes of sRARP in patients with localised PCa recurrence, R De Groote et al. retrospectively evaluated 106 patients with local recurrence eligible for sRARP.1 In this supplementary video, Dr. Senthil Nathan, Consultant Urologist, UCLH, Dr. Ruben De Groote, Consultant Urologist, Belgium along with Drs. Mottrie, Collins, and Sridhar speak to the benefit robotic urology surgeons receive by being taught the techniques to overcome the challenges of salvage surgery to deliver the best cancer and functional outcomes for the patient.
