I am Mauricio Fernández Lázaro, a medical oncologist, the coordinator of the uro-oncology department of the Fundación COIR, here in Mendoza. I am the president of UroTarget, an interdisciplinary uro-oncology conference that we hold every year here in this place. The purpose of this conference is to bring us together to think clearly and objectively about a common goal: helping our patients with genitourinary pathologies.

The primary reason for holding the conference here in Mendoza is for us to come together, to increase the opportunity for various professionals from different parts of the country to meet on common ground outside of the capital. The reason for holding this conference here in Mendoza is so we can come together, those of us who work on these pathologies, in a way that goes beyond the purely scientific, to socialize. This is a chance for us to meet up again, a chance to hug each other, and a chance to have a drink together.

Mendoza is a place of opportunities. It is a place where friendships can be created, and we believe that this is the essential rule for strengthening interdisciplinary relations with colleagues with whom we interact each day. Mendoza is a wonderful place in the western part of Argentina, surrounded by mountains and vineyards.

We thank UroToday for this opportunity to be here, and we cheer, hoping to hold another conference soon.
